Download iOS 13.2 and iPadOS 13.2 Beta 1

Apple today released the first developer beta of iOS 13.2 and iPadOS 13.2 for all compatible iPhones and iPads. The highlight of this beta release is that it adds the hyped Deep Fusion image processing to the camera app of the iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro.

The Deep Fusion image processing will help the iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro to capture photos in medium to low-light situations with more details. Deep Fusion will work in the background and not require any kind of user intervention to work properly. The feature will not be available on older iPhones.

If your iPhone is already on the iOS 13 beta channel, you can head over to Settings -> General -> Software Update to grab the iOS 13.2 beta 1 update. The same also applies for the iPadOS 13.2 beta 1 update.

iOS 13 now lets you hide URL previews. Apple also warns iOS 13 users on which apps are using location in the background. The feature also specifies the number of times app has accessed your location in the background.



Apple has added a welcome screen to some apps. To begin with, both the App Store and Photos App greet you with a splash screen that highlights new features.

In the previous beta, Volume adjustment had been increased to 34 levels. The same is now brought back to 16 levels.



The 5G/LTE/4G icon size change is now reversed and is back to the regular size.

Apple has added a new clause to its Privacy Policy. It reads “System Customization: Your iPhone will customize system appearance, behaviors, and settings using your current location, for example by automatically enabling Smart Charging when you are at home. This customization data does not leave your device.”



SIRI now supports Light Mode and Dark Mode. For instance, you can simply say “Hey Siri change my appearance” to toggle from Normal to Dark Mode and vice versa. Apple has removed a feature that allowed SIRI to read out messages aloud when connected to AirPods and select Beats headphones.

Apple Card Preview Rolling Out to Select Customers From Today

Apple and Goldman Sachs have started the rollout of Apple Card. Initially unveiled back in March by Apple, the Apple Card is available for eligible iPhone customers in the United States. Right now though, it is only being made available to a select group of customers.

A wider rollout will start later in August. Customers invited to the Apple Card Preview program will automatically receive an email from Apple. The company is sending out the invite to customers who had signed up to be notified about Apple Card.

Invited customers can sign up for Apple Card using the Wallet app on their iPhone provided it is running iOS 12.4. The activation process will take a few minutes after which you would get your Apple Card details.

You can also request a physical Apple Card from Apple and Goldman Sachs for free. Unlike traditional cards, the physical Apple Card will be made of titanium with your name laser engraved. It will also be devoid of any numbers.

The whole USP of Apple Card is that there are no fees whatsoever including joining fee, late payment fee etc. It will also feature tight integration with the Wallet app on your iPhone which will show detailed information about all your transactions, including the location, amount, merchant etc.

Goldman Sachs will be handling the backend of the Apple Card. It will not share any kind of data with third-party companies for privacy and security reasons.

Apple Card users will also get a cashback in the form of Apple Cash on a daily basis. They will get up to 3% cashback when they purchase Apple products, 2% on Apple Pay transactions, and 1% on other transactions. For now, Apple Card is only available to iPhone users in the United States.
